H&S Policy


Health, Safety and Welfare Policy Statement


Gasco Traffic Ltd. Takes its legal duty of care seriously and aims to ensure that health and safety (H&S) of employees and non-employees alike are not adversely affected by its undertakings.


Continual improvement is something that the organisation strives for, wishing to see year on year reduction in accidents and ill health absences attributable to H&S.


The company will put in place a management system to ensure:


• The display and communication of a H&S policy which complies with the requirements of BS EN ISO 45001:2018, with                  commitment from the top of the organisation

• The provision of the policy and supporting material at induction, to its supply chain and any third party upon request

• Identification of roles and responsibilities and lines of communication 

• The provision of safe plant and work equipment (incl. PPE)

• The provision of appropriate information, training and suitable supervision based on the level of risk

• The provision of safe articles and substances and methods for safe handling, use and storage

• The provision of a safe place of work so far as is reasonably practicable 

• The provision of appropriate welfare facilities

• That the work is not conducted where it cannot be safely managed 

• The provision of H&S advice and assistance

• Planning of H&S into our activities through identification and assessment of hazards and risks and development of safe              systems and procedures

• Investigation of incidents and accidents, implementing preventative action where necessary

• Compliance with all relevant legal requirements and codes of practice

• Regular review the Safety Management System and this policy periodically to ensure it remains achievable, relevant, and              credible. 

• Measuring Performance using key performance indicators (KPI) and setting SMART goals

• The provision of adequate resources to deliver the policy requirements


Everyone undertaking works for the organisation is expected to support and promote this policy and procedures made thereunder, complying with their requirements and duties.
